WHERE DO YOU HIDE YOUR FLOWERS?

‘Intention without any action is just a wish’

Let’s say you make a desire or you set up a goal. What do you do?

Do you let it stay in your head? Do you write it down on a piece of paper? Do you tell anybody about it? Or are you the one who’s already making a strategy on how to make it true?

Hm… I used to be the first one, ‘I’ll remember it’ 😀 And I did, it’s just when we let it hang in our heads we rarely actually act on it, and after some time of course we forget about it.

Writing it down is a great way to start. If we don’t lose that piece of paper or lose it in the pages of a diary, so far so good. If we sit down right away and make a plan about it, or add one small part to it each day, the chances we’re going to achieve it are much higher.

But if we tell somebody about it, someone we trust, then our predictions go even higher.

And here’s why;

Our ego likes to keep us in our comfort zone. So, he won’t let us that easy to do something that may require more dedication than usual or more than we used to. But it also won’t let other people find us unaccountable. So, when we tell somebody what we’re up to, we will motivate ourselves easier to do so, especially on the days when the first kick of motivation drops. On the other hand, that person will be interested in our progress. She/he can see if we get stuck and help us solve the situation if needed. Therefore, we’ll have support, which is even better than doing it all on our own. People, we tell our ideas/goals/desires, are our dear ones, partners, close friends, or family. To be honest, that one close friend is the best idea 😀 She/he should recognize our BS excuses and procrastination (if it happens, and it usually does) and call us out on it. Then, we have to pull together and keep the actions going toward the goal.

We are most likely to keep the word to our close friends rather than to ourselves. That’s not nice, haha, but that’s the truth. Call yourself out on these things!

Remember how many times you said;

‘I’m going to learn this or that’ but you haven’t found the time for it.

‘I’m going to reorganize this or that’ but you never feel like it.

‘I’m going to join this program‘ but you forget about it.

‘I’m going to sell my art’ but you never start.

‘I’m going to read this book by the end of the week’ but every day you have something else.

‘I’m going to change my habits’ but I’ll start tomorrow (you know, that day that never comes?)

The ‘I’m going to’ and then ‘but’ pattern keeps repeating over and over… like a broken record. It’s time to change the record and act immediately. I wrote about this technique before, when you want to do something and avoid all the brain games, do it right away. Count to 3, count to 5, but find yourself moving within those seconds. Make it non-negotiable.

Practice this daily, start with the small stuff. You can also create a daily list to make it more fun, for example;

Call your mother.

Take the trash out.

Pet a cat/dog for a minute.

Brew some tea.

Text a joke to a friend.

Then go to things that take a little longer, like;

Read a page of a book.

Meditate for 15 minutes.

Listen to a podcast episode.

Wash the dishes.

Organize your desktop.

And build up each day… The point is to do these things right away. Set an alarm for each one and once it goes off, you’re up to work, no questions asked. Things you’re going to hear at first are just your (lazy :)) brain speaking ‘Oh, that can wait. I’ll do it later. Do I really have to do this? I’ll skip this one’… Don’t fall into this trap 😀

Over time, you’ll train yourself for faster reactions to what you want. And what’s more important in all this, you won’t miss your desired experiences! Because you won’t forget about them. You won’t lose that piece of paper. You will act on it.

And that friend you told about your next goal, you’ll save her/his time pushing you to work on it, instead, she/he will enjoy watching your progress. I must warn you here. This thing is contagious. Once people around you begin to realize how simple the concept is, they’ll come to you with all their goals. So get ready to hold some space for them, as well. 🙂

Now, brew some nice tea, and give yourself a moment to think about that next thing you want to do. Sign up for a program, raise your habit goals, launch a new idea… whatever you wish for… Find that flower.

    ♡ I Totally Agree with this Awesome, Amazing Article EveryOne; that said I Do have One Small Caveat…the Way I Do Things is In Reverse; let Me Explain please…once I Have Set Intention I Let It Go and Get On With the minutiae of 3DLife instead of Seeking Out Work; because The Work to Manifest My Intent WILL!!! Flow to Me and that’s when I “Take Action” the rationale being if I Have Expended on My Superfluous Tasks then I Have Little Energy when Tasks that Really Matter Arrive…key to ALL of this is Fluid, Flexible Planning as Opposed to Rigid, Inflexible Planning; so, in summary, Wait for The Work instead of Chasing The Work and Expect The UnExpected, Accepting Things UnFolding Differently to what was Expected then Watch in Wonder as Intentions Manifest in Ways NEVER!!! imagined in Wildest Dreams and Totally Exceeding ALL Expectations

    2. Manifestation happens when we are aligned with our vision. Thought, feelings and actions must all be aligned in order to achieve it.

      It works the same way for everybody, it’s the Law of Attraction ✨

      Chasing the work is not the way to do it, I agree. But when you’re aligned, you Know what the work is, so there’s no need to chase it, just take the action. Right? 😊

        ♡ Neither do I, some of this stuff coming through is as cryptic to me as to others; theorising, a friend is moving on to her next challenge so it’s sad to SEE (Soulful Emotional Energy) her go but we all wish her well for the future, so perhaps you or someone in your circles is considering what you suggested and thinking about quitting to do what they really want to do…that kinda makes sense; doesn’t it 🤔 ?

      2. Quitting to do what they really want to do is never a good option, right? Maybe just wishes changed…

        ♡ I THINK!!! it depends on our PAM (Perception Attitude MindSet); some of us jump and the net appears while others carefully descend until the net appears so I guess it’s reckless, risk taking bulls charging in and relaxed, risk averse bears ambling along (stock market reference)
