We’re on TV session today π
Do you guys watch TV on a regular basis?
Today I had a conversation with a woman from the community. We were chatting about the best tea for stress relief when we came to the conclusion that she watches TV a few hours a day. I advise her to turn it off and go for a walk instead, then we can discuss the best tea to support that action π Right? Can you agree here?
I’m a little bit extreme on this topic because I never watch TV, and by never I mean NEVER. I don’t even have one at home. It’s not something that I’ve decided recently, it’s been like that since my childhood. Ok, I had a TV when I was a kid, but still, I turned to music rather than the screen. Now, we have computers, so if I need to watch a movie or anything, I choose on my own what will it be. Media is more than damage for me. And the news? You will be surprised. If it wasn’t a global pandemic (for example) I would hardly even know about it π It’s not that I’m not interested in what’s happening, it’s just that over time, I realized that all the important information comes to me through different channels. Someone would call and during that conversation, I’ll find out about that, or I’ll accidentally see it on social media, or the neighbor would ask me if I have more information about something that’s happening…and so on…But I’m always informed on time. So, the news and TV are not on my radar.
Now I catch myself from time to time checking the news. Gosh! There is not one positive piece of news you could find! Not one! So yes, I’m getting back to my own senses and the way of life – NO TV, NO news.
There is so much to do than spend time in front of the widescreen and I feel healthier, in my head. You know what I mean π
This woman I was chatting with inspired me to do something. I sat down with my cup of tea and made a quick list of things that I would do if I feel the need to turn on the TV. I’ll share it with you;
Play some music… Music always inspires me.
Write a post… Keeps my mind focused.
Take a walk… Fresh air clears the brain and activates the body.
Play with my cat… Our pets value the time we spend with them.
See a friendΒ (or call her/him)… Always a refreshing idea π
Clean my deskΒ (space around)… Brings fresh energy.
Make smoothie… Never underestimate the power of a good smoothie.
Read something new… Discovering new stuff within the sphere that interests me.
Yoga session, or exercise… This is actually a smart one πΒ
This is a quick list that I just made within the minutes. I’m sure there will be a lot more if I take this task seriously.
Check on yourself. Are you feeling negative, or low energy? How much of the news do you follow? How much TV do you watch? Try this method of making a list of positive things, stick to it for a few days and see what happens. Or maybe you don’t find yourself caught up in negative feelings after?
I would be able to recommend some tea ideas that can release stress and lift the mood. Brew some of the following herbs; Rose petals, Mint, Magnolia, Hemp, Chamomile, Mistletoe, Lavender, Vanilla, Valerian… to name just a few, haha.
Now, I wish you a stress-free day, or night, depending on where you are in the world, and remember to always bring JOY to your everyday routine π
The Tea website is launched, so if you need a place away from the media, you can check in there as well π Here’s the link:
