ENJOY THE RIDE

Opportunities don’t come by a chance, we create them. This is what I believe. This is what I’m constantly working on. 

What might happen to most of the people that are working on some ‘dream come true’ project, or whatever it might be, is one of the two things:

• Lack of consistency
• Giving up too early

Of course, there will be lots of ups and downs happening along the way, but these two are the major ones that make people just give up. 

Hey! Nobody said it will be easy, nobody said it will happen over the night, or that we could skip the starting points. Nope. If you want some magic pill and instant results, I’ll spare you some wasted time and advise that you don’t even start. On the other hand, if you start and do get some instant results, hang on while it lasts because it will be over very soon. Long-term success in this case scenario is hardly possible…

Building the project (I call it a project, but maybe it’s business, maybe it’s siding income, maybe it’s … whatever) takes time and by the time I mean determination and consistent work. People get confused here, they think that they can just set up the scene and sit aside while it builds up. Like, I’ll just put it out there and wait some time to pass and it will happen. Nope! It won’t. It can not happen by a chance, by itself. We’re the ones who make it happen. All the time. It’s a rat race but in a good way 🙂

And as we’re talking about a good way, I have to break it to you; unless you enjoy it, you won’t succeed. Period. If we do something that’s rooted in money goals, not going to happen. If we work on something that’s stressing us out, not going to happen. The only way we could bring it to the top is by doing it from a place of passion. Like C.Bukowski said ‘Find what you love and let it kill you’. Now, that’s the spirit! Believe it or not, it’s not just our skills that put us up for success, it’s the energy we bring around as well.

I wanted to write about this because I see so many people give up because of some (stupid, really) reasons. 

I understand lack of motivation can kill the vibe, but hey! it’s never going to stick for long anyway. Some days we will be more motivated than others but we push ourselves through. Some days we will score higher, some lower but we keep pushing ourselves through it. Day by day, task by task. Keep your goals in front of you and just keep moving. That’s all we’ve got to do, just keep rolling. For the minority, like myself, I haven’t really had this issue. I’ve created something that makes me move most of the time and didn’t have this motivation-killing vibe. Lucky me? Doubt that. I think I just learned some lessons before, worked on my perspective shift, and get to the point where this type of concern can’t hold me back.

Does it take too long, by the terms you imagined?
Does it go too slow, by your imaginary predictions?
Is it too hard to give it at least an hour a day, every day?

Then imagine the results you want to get. Imagine yourself on the other side, already having what you want…

Or you’d rather live without pursuing your desires?

Does it seem so hard now?

Of course not! Because the moment we get to the other side, all that we went through won’t matter. We get our reward. But even that is not a true reward. You know what is? Enjoying the process. When we learn to enjoy the process, that’s what drives us, that’s what it’s all about, that’s the treasure we can’t get enough of!

Whatever you’re working on, make sure to take every fall as a lesson and every win as a celebration. Trust me, the process is what makes it all worth it, not just the result. Be consistent, and release all the beliefs that are not serving you.
