SERVE ME SOMETHING NICE

Yesterday, I shared a picture of a quick cuppa that I made for myself. I posted it on my Instagram story. Usually, when I do that, people like to know what kind of tea I’m drinking at the given moment. So that’s what happened now as well…

Summer has started here. For me, anything above 20 degrees Celsius is summer (and it was about 28C)! I’m not that good on warm (actually hot) days. My energy is different, I slow down a bit. You must understand, it’s frickin’ HOT! Haha. The best thing that I like to do that cools me off is walking barefoot. Yup, from May to October, I’m barefoot all over the place πŸ˜€ If I could go to the grocery store without even flip-flops, I would. But since I’m not living by the beach, that’s not really an option 😦 The coolest place in the house, besides the fridge, is the bathroom floor. So if I’m spending a day at home, I make sure to stop there as many times as possible, just to put my feet on the cold tiles πŸ™‚ Yes, that’s how we spend summer days in the city. There’s still a lot of work, so I can’t really disappear somewhere closer to the beach 😦

But, the other thing that helps me cool off as well, is tea. Warm tea, trust me, not ice tea. Warm tea makes temperature balance in the body. Some people like to drink it hot, while there’s still steam coming from it, but not now. Do not drink hot tea on summer days, drink it warm! Let it cool just a bit before you sip. That’s how you’ll find the right balance, meaning that’s how it will work best to cool you off.

So, yesterday I brew some orange and ginger tea. It’s a nice, refreshing mixture. Lots of people responded well, but here’s the catch I wanted to tell you. The one that I made has a light fruity taste. That’s the catch, light taste. Because when you make tea from fruits, it’s not that rich in flavor. When you buy fruit tea in your local store, it’s much stronger. That’s because they put an extra aroma in it. If you drink pure fruit tea (mostly of any fruit) it could never be that strong.

So now you know how to make difference between the two, homemade and packed fruit tea.

There’s nothing wrong with the aromas, we enjoy the tastes more sometimes, but drinking too many aromas and food colors (especially food colors) are not that good. Just make sure to check the ingredients list on the box of tea you’re buying, and decide for yourself if you want it or not.

I believe that’s the best advice I could give, Decide for yourself πŸ™‚

Tonight, I’m drinking my orange/ginger tea again, because it feels like light juice. But I would love to hear your thoughts on fruit teas… What kind of tastes do you like in your tea? Are you more fruit or herbal type of Rockstar tea drinker ?! πŸ™‚

Let me know in the comments.

And of course, feel free to check other blends on the website! We do ship worldwide. There’re no boundaries for the Black Rabbit Tea πŸ˜‰

  1. I prefer herbal tea. Usually, I find fruit teas too sweet for my liking.

    1. Yes, the aroma makes it sweeter…but if you can find some without added aromas it will be a whole different experience 😊
