It’s been quiet here these days … especially later at night and early in the morning. It wasn’t like that before. I live in a very fast and loud city (for this region), but lately, nature managed to be louder than us, humans, haha. I love that!
I like loud music but hate loud people. Sorry, there must be some sound selection and respect, right? 🙂
Anyway, lately, I’ve been experimenting a lot with one particular herb. If you read my post about the new tea blend, I mentioned it there. If you haven’t, head on to it, here’s the link:
FULL of TEA MOON – The Cup of Diary (wordpress.com)
It’s called Moringa. I’m not sure how many of you guys are familiar with it, but here, many people haven’t heard of it. I have known about moringa for a long time, but it wasn’t easy to find it (at least not the good one) so over time, I guess I forgot about it. Well, recently I managed to get the organic moringa powder and head on right away to include it as a magical ingredient in the new tea blend. I was looking for one herb that will be the gold in the blend, and of course, found it! My universe is always helping me out 😉
Moringa grows in warm places. It needs a lot of sun and water, but not humidity. It’s very sensitive while growing, so I’m sad that I can’t grow it on my own. But still, when you find someone you trust, it’s good that it could be purchased at least. Which is the most powerful food you know? Broccoli, ginger, spinach… right? Well, moringa is at least 10 times ‘stronger’ than those. And by stronger I mean has more nutrients, therefore the power to our body. It drains out toxins and feeds us with fibers, proteins, amino acids, vitamins, minerals… everything our body needs. Of course, it’s not enough to eat just the powder, but adding it to your daily routine through foods and beverages is so beneficial for the overall health, and health improvements.
I’ve been adding it to different beverages that I make regularly, like freshly squeezed juices, or smoothies. It does wonders. The amount that we should use daily is 1 teaspoon, so try not to go over that.
What I like about it is that it feels/smells like the ocean. I don’t know why but I get that beachy sense, especially when it’s mixed with fruits 🙂 Whether you add it to a hot or warm beverage, it doesn’t change the flavor. And the taste is strong, so you may wanna split that 1 teaspoon into several portions.
Moringa, besides all the nutrition facts, can improve memory and learning (and I’m always eager for new stuff), also it decreases the level of anxiety and stress (not just daily work stress, which I think is the slow killer, but also those big ones that come unexpectedly). And it makes sense, if it feeds our body well, it gives a great starting point for the mind to be better. Do you agree?
As I was saying in the post I’ve mentioned above, I was looking for some refreshing tea for the summer (although this is the all-year tea) so I mix it up in a proper measure with nettle, lemon, and marshmallow root. The perfect fit!
If you want to check it out, here’s the link to the website:
And let me know in the comments, have you tried this herb? Does it feel like the ocean to you as well, or it’s just my mind playing summer tricks on me? 🙂
I had never heard of it.
